…And Tiger Woods, Too!

Let me get a cup of coffee, and then I’ll sit down and explain all of this to you.

Nevada’s Senator John Ensign, a Republican,  comes under renewed and continued scrutiny by law enforcement concerning his email during the time of and after his affair with a staffer—a  married woman—whose husband was also a high-ranking staffer in Ensign’s camp.

The scrutiny is searching for possible ethical and legal violations Ensign may have made during a period where he was trying to conceal the affair and appease those he had betrayed because of the affair.  Law enforcement, mainly, the FBI, is investigating Ensigns intentions during the cover up process. 

It is now apparent, or it seems so, that the dog didn’t bury his bones deep enough and the squirrels may have found the hidden cache.

It looks like the dog’s bones are going to be a smorgasbord of a lunch for the squirrels and the FBI.

Ensign joins a very long list of corrupt, immoral public figures and abusers of power from the ranks of politicians, celebrities, sports figures and those whose daily activities entails being exposed to the public.

Call them cheaters, fornicators, those committing adultery or infidelity, immoral, sinners, those having extramarital affairs or what ever sewage parasite you desire to label them as, their unfaithfulness, their dishonesty, their deviant behavior, their lost of morals, integrity and trust—by you and those closes to them—is as contagious and widespread as any disease which has ever inflicted America.

Hopefully, Sen. John Glasshouse Ensign will resign.  The sooner, the better.  Then we can find an honest, moral and true Republican from Nevada to take his place.

Politically, I would have supported Ensign. That is, up until the public announcement of his confessed extramarital affair.

Hypocrite!

I am not against what the man does politically, (except for a few unintelligent voting moves Glasshouse Ensign has made concerning the extension of unemployment benefits.) I am not opposed to the man’s political views, or what he stands for in the political arena.  It is what he does in his so-called “private life” that concerns me.

Many people argue that what a public official, such as Ensign, or a celebrity or sports figure such as Tiger Woods, does privately is their own business, and of no concern of the public, because what they do is considered by many a private matter.

Wrong!

If a politician cheats on his wife, and does so with one of his top worker’s wife, then he cheats everybody.  Those closest to him have been betrayed—his wife, his top staff—the people who should trust him the most.  If he cheats on them, if he is dishonest to them, then what makes you think he will be honest to you?

It can’t be and he won’t.

He is scum. He is trash.  He is evil and he is nothing we want to see leading us.  He has forever burned his bridges.  He has destroyed the trust we can ever hold in him.

As far as Tiger Woods, celebrities and sports figures and the like, they are supposed to be setting examples for American’s youth to admire.  They are supposed to be role models.  When you become a whore and you sleep around and become a cheater, a dishonest spouse and a corrupt head of family you not only betray the trust of the people, you shame the industry you work in.

Whenever you are a public figure, a politician, and elected official, a celebrity, a TV or movie star, a sports figure, or any other public image, your personal life as well as your public life is a matter of public scrutiny.  By choice of your career, you’ve surrendered your privacy rather you like that or not. Your personal affairs become public affairs rather you like it or not. 

That is because public figures are supposed to hold themselves at such a degree and conduct as to enlist good and moral behavior, ethics and integrity and through that image they set the standard the rest of us, especially children live by as a code of conduct.

Public figures are the heroes, icons and idols of the American people and particularly the American youth. Being a black sheep and breaking all the rules of society makes you unfit to qualify for your career, no matter how well you perform.  Simply put, you are just not fit. Nor should you be considered fit, under those conditions, for you are plagued with the wrath of God, which He is exposing you and punishing you for your grave sins against mankind.

And they are sins against mankind, because you have a leadership role, a performance others are presumed to follow. What you have done by your unfaithfulness is you abuse the power your occupation provides you.

We can’t teach America’s youth to follow the examples of our leaders if those leaders decide to swim in raw sewage. Nor should we.

We can not accept the deviant, immoral and sinful behavior as the image our nation’s youth ought to look up to and follow as their heroes, icons and idols.

There is no mercy when you sleep in the raw sewage that consumes your soul.  There is no mercy when you live in the decomposed flesh of sinners.

Only God can forgive you.

Privately we can forgive you, but not publicly. There is no public forgiveness for public confessions of the public sin of public fornication—not by man, by God maybe—but not by man.

Tiger “Sleep Around” Woods and John “Glasshouse” Ensign both need to depart from their chosen fields and be out of the public eye forever. 

Be gone and be forgotten. Out of sight and out of mind.  That is the only right thing to do for either sorry example.  It is the only thing to do!

They made their own beds, now it is time they sleep in it–alone!  Their downfall is theirs alone, and they have no one to blame for the brand that is forever burnt into the flesh of their lives.  They got what they deserved, now it’s time they remove themselves from society’s eyes and let their shame heal in the minds of the public.

They can not be forgiven until they remove themselves from the public’s eyes.

No politician, no celebrity or sportsperson shall ever be forgiven for sinning some of the worst sins there are. 

Their abuse of power must be extinguished with the judgment of the people—condemned for live—and be cast into the lake of fire and out of our sight and mind forever.

The morals of America have sunken into the rotten dump of shame.  The decaying of American society stems from the likes of one bad-ass John Glasshouse Ensign and one dim-witted Tiger “Sleep Around” Woods.

We can not accept their degenerate behavior. Nor should we.

America has too much at risk to do so.  Our society must not seep into the decomposed sewage the likes of fornicators present in the minds of our nation’s children.  We must protect our society by taking a strong stance and denouncing their deviant behavior. 

Rehabilitation and public requests for forgiveness does not right a wrong, nor does it reestablish trust and integrity that is as broken as the smashed cookie jar. 

They got caught with their hands in the cookie jar, now that cookie jar is gone.  And so is their public career. 

The sooner these men and the likes of them withdraw from their chosen fields and withdraw from the public eye, the sooner America can heal her wounds.  The sooner the moral standards of American society can be cured. 

These men bankrupted their souls, unless they make amends with their Maker, but they ought not to be able to bankrupt the morals and the integrity of America. 

Fornicators, who live private lives, can keep their sins private.  But fornicators who live in the public’s eye must be held accountable by the public.  And that accountability means the end of their chosen careers, for we do not want the setting of our standards by such poor examples of men. 

Hopefully, John Glasshouse Ensign will resign and go back to being a recluse veterinarian or living off of mama and papa.  John “Fornicator” Ensign is not welcomed in American politics. He is a fallen star that is no longer wanted, and the same holds true for that one named Tiger Woods.

Yes, indeed,  the same holds for Tiger “Broken Zipper” Woods.  The decomposed lifestyle he chose to lead shall not be one American children ought to be looking up to. 

The morals and the integrity of the American people ought not to be in the shadows of such poor examples of leadership. 

It is time both men, Ensign and Woods and Company and the likes of them, go cash in their diseased mad cows and go hide someplace where we can forget about them.

It’s called good riddance.  And—out of sight, out of mind.

Be gone and be forgotten. 

The sooner, the better.

It’s just like taking last nights trash out.  We get the stink of garbage out of our house–and put it where it belongs–in the dumpster.

As one local Las Vegas cartoon sort of recently said by illustration, even the flies can’t stand the smell of them.
